SM Robinson

Stacey Marie Robinson coordinates the activities of Toronto-based business Kya Publishing, including the creation, promotion, and production of novels, events for writers, and services for artists and organizations. Her writing and publishing credentials include a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Communication Studies from the University of Windsor, a Master of Arts (MA) in Communications from Wayne State University (Detroit), and a post-graduate diploma in Publishing from Toronto's Ryerson University (now Toronto Metropolitan University)  Her music experience includes Royal Conservatory of Music training in piano (Grade 9 Performance) and music theory.

Supports individuals and organizations in communications planning and processes. 


AUTHOR | 2008 - Present
Writer and publisher of nine Toronto-based fiction novels and short story collections.

Creator of written feature, arts/entertainment, and news content for print, social media, and digital platforms.


COMMUNITY [ARTS] SUPPORTER | 1997 - Present
Member of organizations and participant in initiatives dedicated to uplifting youth and/or celebrating and presenting the arts: Black Youth Taking Action (Windsor), Black Student Union (Windsor), CJAM 91.5fm (Windsor), Urban Music Association of Canada (Toronto), Toronto Revellers Cultural Association (Toronto Caribbean Carnival), Linkage Movement (Toronto), VIBE 105.5fm (Toronto), Nia Centre for the Arts (Toronto), and One Vision One Voice (Toronto).


MUSIC INSTRUCTOR | 1995 - Present

Instructor of lessons in music theory and piano; designs individual programs and teaching tools.
